What's the Difference Between a Murderer and a Serial Killer?

Our world has been enveloped with so much wickedness. The different types of crimes have been rampantly committed by law violators in whatever part of the world. Every possible offender has been in the streets modestly watching and waiting for an opportunity to rob or kill their next prey.

Any persons who commit an offense have been tagged for many names depending on what degree of crimes has been done. We have been branding those people who took a small amount of money from their victims as thieves. Drug traffickers for those people engage in illegal drug trades. Kidnappers for those people involve in the kidnapping activities and they like.

For the crimes against person that employ treachery, we have been calling any person entangle in the killings of anybody as murderer or serial killer. But what is the relationship of these two kinds of labeled criminal and how do they differ from each other. Let us clearly differentiate and elaborate further the dissimilarity of the two branded criminals.

Murderer - a perpetrator is called a murderer if he kills a person with deceit and treachery. There exists a plan for premeditation before the actual commission of the crime. There is a presence of the superior strength employed upon the victim. For instance, if the back portion of the victim's body were stabbed by a criminal without the opportunity of the latter to defend himself is considered a murder.

Serial killer - is a person who commits a crime wherein it leaves a common style in killing his victim. It always leaves the same imprint or modus operandi for each crime committed. Such mark tells the crime investigator that such offense is done by the same offender and it serves as identity of the killer. For example, a crime is said to be perpetrated by a serial killer when the assassin placed some common mark, for instance an X symbol in the check or maybe it leaves a three butt of cigarettes in the crime scene or any mark that makes a significant that a crime is perpetrated by the same criminal.

What anyone would remember is that every crime carried out treacherously and deceitfully by a criminal is presumably considered as murder. Any method of killings done by an offender on many crimes that leaves a singular denominator or same imprint is most probably executed by a serial killer.

Oftentimes a serial killer is murderer while murderer is not always a serial killer.
