Serial Killers have been explored a lot in Hollywood movies. Some movies were based on real-life serial killers, while others were superbly portrayed work of fiction. Hollywood has profited a lot in these serial killer murder mystery movies. Also, it is one of the favorite genres for a lot of movie watchers. Here's bringing you a list of some of the serial killer movies I liked.

The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Undoubtedly, one of the best movies ever made and definitely the best serial killer movie ever made, Silence of the Lambs is a treat to watch. Here, a young FBI cadet must confide in an incarcerated and manipulative killer (Dr. Hannibal Lector) to receive his help on catching another serial killer who skins his victims. This movie has everything you expect in a movie. It has an excellent script, especially the conversations between Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lector are just mind-blowing. The direction is superb as well. Jodie Foster is superb in her portrayal of Clarice Starling. But the most exceptional performance comes from Anthony Hopkins as the smart and manipulative Hannibal Lector. This is definitely one of the best performances you will ever see. This is definitely one of the best movies ever made. Don't miss this one, if you haven't seen it yet.

Se7en (1995)

Se7en is a superbly directed murder mystery movie. Here, Two detectives, a rookie and a veteran hunt a serial killer who uses the seven deadly sins as his modus operandi. What works for the movie is its superb direction. Director David Fincher successfully manages to give a dark feel to the movie, which keeps the audience involved throughout. Both Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt play their parts really well. This is a really good movie to watch if you like murder mysteries or serial killer movies.

Genre: Mystery, Thriller.

Sea of Love (1989)

Sea of Love is a well-made murder mystery movie. Here, a detective investigating a series of murders becomes involved with a woman who may be the culprit. This movie basically works because of the superb chemistry shared between the lead pairs Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin. Al Pacino once again does a great job playing his character with tremendous energy. Do watch this one if you like serial killer movies, especially if you are a Pacino fan.

Genre: Mystery, Thriller.

Bore Meter: Won't get bored. It has a good pace.
